Hahnemühle gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. It has a delicate surface, so we recommend extra care when handling. Photorag is suitable for mounting but its cotton texture means edges can fray if not carefully handled. To frame the artwork well isn’t just a nice way to present it but it will also protect it and will make it last. UV protective antireflective glass is more expensive but gives a much closer experience with the artwork, it removes unwanted reflections and protects the artwork from the rays of the sun. Bring the artwork in the original package to your local framing specialist and they will know.

Antti Viitala is a Finnish-born commercial - and fine art photographer based in Cape Town and Helsinki. Working globally, preferring to shoot on location with available light pays homage to the craft photographers of the past. Years spent in darkroom have left  Antti with a knowledge and love for Black and White and analogic film photography. Finding his inspiration from the old masters and by keeping a firm grasp on modern technology he allows the finest of nuances to be elicited.
